Hi my name is Candice and I am a snackaholic………………….

I love everything about snacking, I love to graze, I love to munch and I love to squeeze in salty, crunchy, sweet (without sabotaging my health or my waist line) as much as humanly possible. I mean food its just too good am I right? I mean Am. I. Right?

The problem for so many though is snacking becomes sabotage for their health goals if they are not careful and informed.

Now even though snacking can be sabotage I would never ever tell a client to give it up - it is our nature and it truly doesn’t have to be bad.

Instead I teach people to look for healthy swaps and to crowd out the bad stuff with these better choices.

And let me tell you the best news: there are so many amazing products out there that do such a good job you won’t even miss the foods you were eating before I promise.

These badass snacks are called winners and per your requests that is what I want to share with you today.

My favorite store bought snacks to satisfy any craving in a healthy, autoimmune friendly, GF, DF way ;)

***I have also decided to do something fun with this and create a giveaway of all of these products so if you are not already following me on instagram head on over to my latest post, like and follow me and then comment your biggest cravings and I will try and create a swap for you. I figure not only is this something fun but it is a chance for me to provide someone with a big box of healthy snacks during shelter in place where they may be struggling to find healthier groceries.***

Okay so lets get to The Good Stuff:

  • Kalumi BEAUTYfood - I have been a fan of these bars since their launch and the love is still going strong. Each bar is loaded with antioxidants and contains 12 g of marine collage which hydrates skin and combats cellulite while the vitamins A & C combat signs of agin. Not only that its flavors are so yummy - I prefer lemon pie, and it truly keeps you full longer.

  • Lesser Evil Paleo Puffs - a guilt free version of Cheetos should be pretty self explanatory. I love the crunch, the flavor and the non cheesi cheesiness.

  • Sweet Potato Awesome - in the shape of a chip but they are flash frozen and baked so they avoid heavy oils like most chips and sweet potatoes have an endless list of benefits including: promoting gut health, immune boosting properties, full of fiber and support eye health.

  • Naturally Bare Banana Chips - The cinnamon banana chips are quite literally life changing and addictive. I just love banana flavor so this is gold for me. I crumble them up on top of açaí bowls or throw them in my purse to avoid sugar crashes. I also love that they use old bananas that would have just been thrown away so its good for the planet and sustainability.

  • Jicafoods Jica chips - smokey BBQ is my jam and I just love that they are low calorie, baked not fried and loaded with probiotics to feed the good bacteria in my gut.

  • The Ground Up Cauliflower Pretzels - these are a major smash with my husband and toddler. The bags disappear real quick. They are Mae with a mixture of gluten free flours but taste very authentic. Also baked I am happy to avoid excess oils and calories.

  • Lesser Evil Oh My Ghee Popcorn - This bagged popcorn uses ghee so it has a very rich flavor similar as to what you would get at a theater but with a way higher quality. The corn is non GMO and organic and perfectly salty every time. Another family addiction for sure.

  • Pan’s Mushroom Jerky in salt & pepper flavor - perfectly chewy, not too sweet, super clean ingredients including avocado oil and coconut sugar. I could snack on these babies all day.

  • Wild Zora meat & veggie bars - I love these to get my protein intake if I am on the go and they have lamb which is a great source of animal protein for people with autoimmune. It is lean but rich in nutrients unlike chicken. If you are wondering if a meat and veggie bar can be delicious I promise you YES.

  • Smart Sweets - lastly the holy grail of my sweet tooth addiction, these have saved me from binging on so many desserts and for that I am grateful. They use inulin fibre, which is made from jeruselum artichokes, to fill you up and add sweetness without sugar. One bag only has 3 g of sugar and its not artificial junk its just stevia and inulin so even the littles can have some. I love all the flavors but the peach rings are the best……definitely get the peach rings.

Snacking is totally part of a healthy balanced lifestyle you just have to know how to do it so you won’t sabotage all of your hard work. I aim to have three meals and two snacks a day and then on weekends or special occasions we will pull out all the snacks for say something like a movie night or a get together. There is nothing better than a snack platter especially if your two year old requests it from her daddy using the cutest voice known to man.

I hope this helped some of you that have been asking for my list of go to snacks that are autoimmune friendly and that you participate in my giveaway. I would love to send you the goods :)

Happy Monday and happy snacking XX
